Wattana is a Post-impressionist acclaimed Thai artist who has a real passion to depicting Thai way of life and culture, with a particular focus on the Ramakien Epic (Thai version of the Indian Ramayana). Wattana started his art career as an instructor from 1975 to 1983 before joining an advertising company for nearly seventeen years. 17 years. He has become a full-time independent artist since then. Along with images of cultural pastimes and Khon drama, Wattana’s post-impressionist style painting evoke with nostalgia the essence of a way of life that is gradually disappearing.
